Northwest Regional Computer Forensics Lab Receives Accreditation

The lab – which is in Portland – is one of only fourteen accredited computer forensic labs in the country. It’s operated by the FBI in partnership with local and state police. Police say accreditation is the best way to make sure evidence stands up in court.

Death Instructions Decree Brings Almost Certain Guarantee of Litigation Loss

The "Death Instructions" decree is commonly referred to as "negative inference"; or simply a court judge telling a jury that they can negatively infer that your failure to act in good faith by providing electronic evidence during an eDiscovery can be held against you. In other words, a jury can assume you are hiding something damaging to the case and assume the worst.
