Man Accused of Creating Mariposa Botnet

The hacker thought to have been behind the Mariposa botnet is on trial in Slovenia.
Iserdo, or Matjaž Škorjanc, 26, is accused of being the creator of the software used to build the Mariposa botnet, which was dismantled in an international cyber crime sting in 2010.
The three men that ran Mariposa were arrested in a swoop by authorities in March 2010, and their capture was coordinated between Spanish police and the FBI.
